The company SMV Engineering (SMVI) was founded in Russia in 1996, with a focus on metallurgical technology. Until 2004, SMVI was affiliated with the Russian Institute of Titanium and Magnesium (RITM) and OJSC Solikamsk Magnesium Plant, which produces magnesium and alloys, a titanium sponge, as well as chemical and rare-earth products.
