Sensation is an annual electronic music festival. Until 2005, it was held exclusively in the Netherlands at the Amsterdam Arena stadium. Since 2005, it has been held at least once in Poland, Spain, Chile, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Czech Republic, Latvia, Russia, Denmark, England, Lithuania, Portugal, Brazil, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, Norway, Serbia, Ukraine, Romania , South Korea, Thailand, USA, Taiwan and Turkey. In 2013, Sensation was first held in Italy, Canada and South Africa. Initially, Sensation played mainly trance and house, but now there is mainly only house and its subgenres. Spectators need to dress in all white, Amsterdam Arena is made out accordingly. Festival slogan: “Be a part of the night - dress in white.” The festival is held annually, on the first Saturday of July. In different years, Sensation White was represented by such DJs as Andre Tanneberger, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Paul van Dyke. The festival was often criticized by trance fans who thought there were too many house and electro houses and too few trance DJs. This was due to a decrease in the popularity of trance, as a result of which a house and an electro-house were added to the festival program. Since 2010, Sensation has completely positioned itself only as a house festival.
